Try to connect to your Wi-Fi network between each step:

  1. Restart your Fire TV device: unplug the power adapter, wait 1 minute, and then plug it back in.

  2. Check the network status on your Fire TV device:

    1. Go to Settings.

    2. Select Network.

    3. Find your network name.

    4. Press Play/Pause

on your remote to see your network status and follow the recommended steps.

Note: On compatible devices you can also select Run Speed Test or Advanced to see detailed information about your connection.

  3. If you're not connected or don't see your network name, scroll down to Wi-Fi. Then, turn Wi-Fi off and on.

  4. Forget your Wi-Fi network and then try connecting again. To forget your network:

    1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV device.

    2. Select Network.

    3. Find your network name.

    4. Press the Menu

button and then the Select button on your remote to forget the network.

  5. Restart your modem and router. If possible, move your Fire TV device and router closer to each other. To restart your home network devices:

    1. Unplug your modem and router and then wait 1 minute.

    2. Plug in your modem first and wait for the lights to turn on and for it to connect to the internet (about 1 minute).

    3. Plug in your router and wait for the lights to turn on and for it to connect to the internet (about 1 minute).

  6. Reset your Fire TV device to factory settings.
